Fountain of Youth Wellness Journey unveiled at Fairmont Pacific Rim

Fairmont Pacific Rim and Willow Stream Spa in Vancouver have launched the ‘Fountain of Youth,’ wellness journey that takes guests to new heights with an exclusive Heli-Glacier experience and locally designed spa retreat at Willow Stream Spa. 

From the city to the sky, the Fountain of Youth wellness adventure begins with a helicopter glacial tour with locally-based Blackcomb Helicopters. Travelers will embark on a 45-minute scenic flight from downtown Vancouver, soaring up the picturesque Howe Sound to the Tantalus Mountain range. Guests will land at the base of the remote Serratus Glacier, where during summer months, the glacial lake undergoes a seasonal transformation and creates jewel like water colours. A gourmet alfresco picnic will be served, featuring local cheese and charcuterie, sustainably sourced Northern Divine Caviar, and Champagne. 

Once back in the city, guests will be treated to the Willow Stream Spa’s complementary namesake body treatment, the most luxurious 120-minute body treatment on the menu that features products from Vancouver-based Beauty Through Balance. This all natural local treatment gives new meaning to ‘sea to sky,’ and takes its inspiration from the ocean, rainforests and mountains.

The products have been created with indigenous ingredients including, ethically hand harvested intertidal glacial clay, and Pacific seaweed from remote pristine areas of British Columbia. The raw ocean and mountain ingredients used in the formulas contribute to the restorative power of nature and focus on achieving mind and body balance through the benefits of aromatherapy and Thalassotherapy, the holistic practice of using raw ocean components for therapeutic healing and wellbeing. 

After a day of exploring and restoring, guests will be treated to cocktails at Botanist Bar to taste the elements of the ocean with the Deep Cove followed by a six-course tasting menu featuring seasonal and locally sourced products. The sensory ‘Fountain of Youth’ experience is inclusive of luxurious overnight accommodation in a Fairmont Gold Room with guaranteed early check-in, helicopter glacier experience and picnic with Blackcomb Helicopters, spa treatments at Willow Stream Spa, and cocktails and dinner at Botanist.
