Victoria is one of my favorite small cities. Anchoring beautiful Vancouver Island, the city (a two-hour ferry/drive from Vancouver/Seattle or a 30-minute flight) offers a combination of history, charm and oceanside beauty. And no other Victoria spa offers a closer connection with the beauty of the water than The Spa at Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe.
Perched on Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbour, the hotel offers a breathtaking waterfront view and much appreciated southern exposure. But inside, The Spa at Delta Victoria takes over, offering a tranquil experience. Just being here was refreshing. I chose to arrive early and had access to the co-ed sauna, hot tub and saltwater swimming pool.
I was scheduled to have a 90-minute Ocean Flow Massage. In the hands of one of the spa’s senior therapists, the massage provided me with not only relaxation, but also lasting benefits. Spending too much time in front of a laptop had left me with muscle tension and a sore back, but by guiding me through my treatment, my therapist helped me understand what was bothering me, why the pain was there, and how he planned to resolve it. My treatment left me totally relaxed. I have to admit, I was impressed. My only regret in having a 90-minute treatment is that a 60-minute one will never do again.
Make plans to visit The Spa at Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe.
