The spa at the Waldorf Astoria, Park City does not disappoint!
My Lavender Zen experience started in the steam room with cold scented washcloths followed by a shower with stellar water pressure! Perfect way to set the tone. Therapist, Tony, gathered me up from the lounge with a warm smile, a lavender foot massage and aromatherapy. The body treatment began with a warm scrub (smelled amazing) that was washed off with HOT washcloths – felt incredible! I don’t know if I had any dead skin, but I am positive it’s gone now! Tony followed it up with a warm oil massage and cocooned me up in blankets to marinade in the goodness. While I soaked, she won me over for life by pouring warm oil onto my scalp and massaging my head and feet. I had to fight to stay awake…literally!
Once I was unwrapped and brought back to Earth, Tony brought me a mini fruit smoothie that was cold and perfectly sweet. It was the perfect topper! My hair and skin felt absolutely amazing! I sat in the steam room for another 5 minutes (as suggested) to let the oils soak in before slithering back to the real world.
If you have time, hang out in the changing room and take advantage of heated, tiled chairs – they feel as amazing as they look! There’s also a beautiful co-ed lounge area called the Gathering Room that is perfect to read/chat/snooze/nosh in before or after a treatment.
I would HIGHLY recommend this spa for a girls day out or a romantic day with someone special.
