On the eve of Montreal’s 375th birthday celebration, The Tidan Hospitality and Real Estate Group, established in 1970 by Mike Yuval and Jack Sofer in association with the Montreal architectural and design firm Lemay, has unveiled their most ambitious hotel project to date – Le Mount Stephen.
With its 90 prestigious rooms and sky-loft suites, all featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and, in some instances, a private terrace, as well as a large ballroom to accommodate up to 400 guests, Le Mount Stephen, combines neoclassicism and contemporary lines in a subdued environment. Described as innovative and dynamic by the jury of the 45th edition of the prestigious Canadian Architect Awards of Excellence, Le Mount Stephen earned, in December 2012, the highly coveted Award of Merit.
A member of the prestigious group The Leading Hotels of the World, Le Mount Stephen opens its doors in early May. This beautiful gem of a hotel, first owned and built by Lord George Stephen and later turned into an exclusive Club, will be host to many Canadians, and those wanting to experience the lap of luxury in one of North America’s most exciting and historic cities.
“Le Mount Stephen is a matchless space, combining old and new. But beyond the place, what will distinguish us is the quality personalized service,” General Manager Antoine Naoum points out. “The clientele will be delighted by the geographic location in the heart of the Golden Square Mile, the historical character and the contemporary functionality of our hotel dedicated to the art of living.”
