Experience Executive Chef Kreg Graham’s culinary offerings in the comfort of your own home, with a selection of prepared and ready-to-heat meals, such as Coq Au Vin Dinner for Two, Red Wine Braised Lamb Shank Dinner for Two, and more. Sunrise Yoga in the Seaside Gardens
Begin your morning with wellness in mind and join the Oak Bay Beach Hotel for Sunrise Yoga on the Seaside Garden Terrace. Beginning May 6 until September 30, 2021, yoga classes are offered twice a week on Thursdays and Saturdays from 7:00 am to 8:00 am. Teaching yoga for over 10 years, Tina Lyons will guide attendees through a breath-focused 60-minute Hatha/Vinyasa style of yoga suitable for all levels of experience. Upon arrival, guests will receive bottled water and sanitized yoga mats to use during the class. Each guest will also receive a cool towel and fresh, house-made smoothie upon departure. Class passes may be purchased online, with partial proceeds from each pass donated to a different local charity every month, beginning with the Victoria Hospitals Foundation for May. Mother’s Day Brunch in the Gardens
The Oak Bay Beach Hotel’s intimate Dining Room has always been known for their memorable Mother’s Day Brunch. This year, the Dining Room is taking Brunch outside to the Garden Terrace with views of the Salish Sea. Reservations include a plated menu of freshly baked pastries, sliced grapefruit drizzled with honey, lemon and mint, Tree Island yogurt and toasted almond granola parfait, artisan charcuterie, an assortment of fine cheeses and accompaniments, sesame Lavash crackers, mini sausage rolls, wild Argentine prawn rolls, pistachio bouchon and French macarons, all paired with a demi-bottle of Bella Sparkling Wine. Price is $60 per person, plus tax and service charge. Individual, socially distanced tables may be booked for groups of 2 to 6 people, ensuring that the provincial health guidelines and physical distancing protocols of the hotel are maintained. Wine Flights at FARO Handcrafted Pizza and Tasting Room
In the spirit of supporting all things local, last month FARO launched a new Wine Flights experience where we showcase a different Vancouver Island winery each month. In the month of April, we chose to focus on Unsworth Vineyards and featured their Charme de L’Île, Symphony and Allegro. In the month of May, FARO will be featuring Blue Grouse Winery’s Quill Rosé, Quill White, and the 2018 Estate Pinot Noir. Wine Flights are available to enjoy daily from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm, and are $24 for a trio of tasting glasses and accompanying gougères.
