Black Stallion Estate Winery proudly announces that it has been awarded the prestigious Wine Star Award for “American Winery of the Year” by Wine Enthusiast. The accolade recognizes Black Stallion’s outstanding contributions to the wine and alcohol beverage industry.

A Rich Legacy and Unique Terroir

Situated in Napa Valley’s Oak Knoll District, Black Stallion Estate Winery is the flagship of Delicato Family Wines, a fourth-generation winery celebrating its centenary in 2024. Acquired by the Indelicato family in 2010, the 32-acre estate, once an equestrian center, has been transformed into a top-tier winery. Specializing in Cabernet Sauvignon, the winery utilizes grapes from the Gaspare Vineyard and various prized vineyards across Napa Valley’s sub-appellations, showcasing a diverse terroir.

A Family Legacy Continues

Stephen Mathews, a fourth-generation family member and assistant winemaker, shared, “For nearly a hundred years, each generation of our family has been writing a new chapter of our family story in California wine. Our journey in Napa Valley is just beginning, and we are honored by this recognition. The spirit of hard work and continuous improvement drives us to explore new possibilities.”
